Description: ER 410NiIMo is used primarily to weld cast and wrought material of similar chemical composition. Preheating and inter-pass temperatures of not less than 150℃ (300℉)
are recommended during welding post-weld heat treatment should not exceed 620℃(1150℉) as higher temperatures may result in hardening. Extra low carbon provides better protection against cracks and increased ductility over 410 filler metal
Application: Typical applications include welding, repairing and overlaying of type 410 and 410NiMo casting and wrought material.it is used in the hydropower industry to combat erosioncorrosion. Other welding applications include valves, valve seating surfaces, gears propeller stafts. And impellers nommally ER410 has better weld ability than ER410 due to it’s low carbon content.
NOTE: Mechanical properties listed below reflect utilization of post-weld heat treatment between 590℃(1100℉) and 620℃(1150℉) for 1 hour.
